Basic Research Skills for New Students (Course)

On September 30, 2024, we held a course on scientific research for new students on zoom. We introduced them to the association and its goals. Then we discussed the importance of research in their professional lives and how they can participate with us. We explained an introduction to the tools and basics of scientific citation. We also explained the method of searching for information in scientific databases such as PubMed.

Essentials of Research (Course)

On October 20, 2024, in cooperation with the Department of Medical Education at An-Najah National University, we conducted a course on the basics of scientific research for students of the Medical Complex. The course included the following topics:
• Introduction to Research & Ethics
• Study Designs
• Proposal Writing
• Data Collection & Analysis
• How to Write & Appraise Articles
• Publication
This course consisted of 9 meetings, at the end of which certificates will be given to those who committed to attending and delivered the required tasks.

Breast Cancer Awareness (Social Media)

For Pink October, we reviewed recent literature on breast cancer to provide evidence-based knowledge and raise awareness, supporting early detection for improved outcomes.

Diabetes Awareness (Social Media)

For the world Diabetes Day, 14.Nov.2024, we reviewed recent literature on DM to provide evidence-based knowledge and raise awareness, supporting early detection for improved outcomes.

The American Pathway with Dr. Omar Saffarini (Zoom Session)

On 16, Nov, 2024, we held a meeting with Dr. Omar Safarini, one of the founders of the Scientific Research Association, to talk about his professional path in the medical specialty in the United States. During this meeting, we will discuss the steps of the USMLE and how to prepare for it, in addition to highlighting his personal experience in America.

The Closing Ceremony of the Essentials of Research Course and Introduction to AMedRA

The number of students enrolled in it reached 463 male and female students from various specialties, and 249 participants were accepted, while 110 students successfully completed the course, after passing 14 hours of intensive training that included research lectures via the Zoom application, in addition to 3 practical tasks to apply what was learned during the course. This occasion was an opportunity to announce the change of the association’s name to the An-Najah Medical Research Association, in a step that reflects our commitment to developing scientific research and expanding its horizons in a way that serves the university’s vision and academic career.
