About us

 In order to fulfill the university's objective, it tries to assure quality in every program offered by the college. This division focuses on promoting a culture of quality and assessing performance levels. It also looks at curriculum evaluation and academic program accreditation.

Accreditation is a review process to determine if educational programs meet defined standards of quality. Once achieved, accreditation is not permanent—it is renewed periodically to ensure that the quality of the educational program is maintained.

Vision

The Curriculum and Accreditation Unit at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences strives to ensure high quality in all educational programs offered by the College by utilizing all available tools and opportunities to raise educational standards in order to meet the requirements for the International Commission for Academic Accreditation of its programs.

Mission

To improve the efficiency of the college performance and its programs in line with the mission of the college and its stated goals, to achieve quality assurance and continuous development and then gain the confidence of the community in its graduates based on recognized mechanisms locally, regionally and globally. To assist the University in continuously improving its academic system by enabling faculty members to reach their ambitions in teaching, and support the University in enhancing its academic programs, facilities and processes to the highest quality standards.

Primary Objectives

Utilizing the most recent international academic standards and keeping the curricula up to date with the needs of national and international academic accreditation, university educational programs and curricula are developed in accordance with the needs of the labor market and the university's vision.

Secondery Objectives

  1. Enhancing the concept of quality and its mechanisms in all educational programs within the college.
  2. Improve students' Performance, learning and learning outcomes.
  3. Implementing of evaluation and academic accreditation for all programs in the college.
  4. Exchange of experiences with similar bodies and organizations in An-Najah University and other universities to benefit from the development of the educational process.
  5. Establishing database for all courses and programs offered by the College.
  6. Preparing academic programs for local and external accreditation.
  7. Evaluate the educational process by measuring the performance, inputs, processes, and outputs, of indicators including: faculty, staff, students, programs, graduates.
  8. Prepare the forms and tools necessary for the evaluation, taking into account the criteria for assessment to be eligible for accreditation.
  9. Identify the strengths and weaknesses in the possibilities and educational programs provided by the College, and submit proposals.
  10. Follow up the development of the various departments of the college programs and regulations, to reach graduates to a distinguished level among graduates of the corresponding departments in other similar colleges, and to achieve them a high competitiveness in the labor market.

Responsibilities

  1. Spread the culture of quality in the college through the studies, brochures, leaflets, seminars, lectures and workshops.
  2. Commitment to the mission and objectives of the college to improve performance.
  3. Survey the views of graduates in order to develop the performance of the college in light of quality standards and academic accreditation.
  4. Making a questionnaire about the community institutions benefiting from the outputs of the college to meet the needs of the community, and achieves the principle of community participation useful in the development of those outputs.
  5. Preparation of specialized models and programs that require surveying, measurement and evaluation, and provision of a database and electronic services.
  6. Formulating the necessary training plans for evaluation processes and quality assurance.
  7. Prepare the draft strategic plan that will bring about the desired change, and directing efforts, and the use of potentials and energies in accordance with the mission of the College, to achieve its goals and aspirations for the future.
  8. Provide information on developments related to quality assurance and accreditation, and benefit from the experiences of other educational institutions in and outside Palestine.
  9. Prepare annual reports on the activities of the unit, and its outputs in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation.
