• Medical Laboratory Science program is one of the main programs related to Biomedical Sciences Department, it’s four years of study leading to bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Criteria for admission to Medical laboratory Science program are:
  1. Tawjihi (or equivalent) with 80% score or above.
  2. Scientific stream of Tawjihi.
  3. Fulfill conditions of Deanery of Admission and registration.

Contributing to the advancement of medical applications, laboratory and research and to stimulate learning and development in the field of Laboratory Medicine in order to provide the society with the elite of laboratory technicians to achieve advanced level in the field of Medicine Laboratory to cope with scientific development in the areas of health, specially the inclusion of technical and applied research in the field of medical tests.

  • Creation of laboratories technicians that cope with scientific development in this field.
  • To graduate qualified scientific and practical laboratories technicians that are able to deal with advanced and modern laboratory devices and techniques.
  • Stimulate the scientific research in the field of medical laboratory.
  • To earn a Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, a student must complete 131 credit hours. These include completion of university, college, department compulsory and elective courses.
  • Spend a minimum of three years in the program.

  • The minimum passing mark for each course is 60%.
  • A student who does not pass a course (achieved D- or below) is allowed to repeat the failed course up to two times.
  • students are allowed to retake a course to raise their grade point average (GPA).
