On February 5, 2025, the Medical Education, Staff Development, and Appraisal Unit organized a two-hour online training session via Zoom on “The Analysis of Qualitative Data from Semi-Structured Interviews”, designed to enhance faculty members’ research skills. The session was led by Dr. Marcia Vera Espinoza, Deputy Director of the Institute for Global Health and Development (IGHD) at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

This interactive training provided participants with essential competencies, including identifying key themes and patterns in qualitative data, applying systematic coding techniques, and critically interpreting findings to support evidence-based research.

By fostering expertise in qualitative research methodologies, this initiative underscores the faculty’s commitment to advancing scholarly inquiry and enhancing the analytical capabilities of its academic staff.
