The Learning, Development, and Social Accountability Centre of Excellence, established in 2025, serves as a hub for advancing high-quality, innovative medical education, strengthening faculty professional development, and enhancing the faculty’s social impact toward equitable and sustainable healthcare in Palestine. Aligned with An-Najah University’s mission, the Centre promotes socially accountable education, evidence-based decision-making, and reflective practice, while supporting the integration of artificial intelligence and educational technologies across teaching, assessment, curriculum development, and community initiatives.
The Centre’s mission is to provide integrated programs, workshops, and initiatives that develop faculty competencies and support continuous professional growth through structured CME, appraisals, and personal development plans; improve curriculum quality, teaching methods, assessment practices, and alignment of learning outcomes with accreditation and community health needs; embed social accountability in education, research, and service while ensuring all activities adhere to ethical and safety standards; facilitate evidence-based decision-making and institutional improvement through data collection, analytics, and reflective insights; promote innovative, AI-enhanced teaching, learning, and evaluation strategies to maximize educational impact and student outcomes; and strengthen partnerships with healthcare institutions, government agencies, and civil society to achieve sustainable community engagement.
