The workshop focused on a wide range of crucial topics, including safety protocols for both the patient and the first responder, effective management of bleeding, burns, and bruises, and the proper techniques for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Dr. Al-Saudi stressed the importance of quick action in emergency situations and highlighted the critical role of emergency services and knowing how to access them promptly.

In addition, Dr. Al-Saudi walked participants through various emergency scenarios, such as cases involving bleeding, burns, and fainting. She outlined the essential qualifications and responsibilities of a first responder and reviewed the vital components of a well-equipped first aid kit.

She demonstrated practical techniques for treating burns and injuries, explaining the effective use of bandages, gauze, and cotton to dress wounds. For cases of bleeding in the extremities, she advised elevating the affected area to help stop the bleeding.

A key highlight of the workshop was a hands-on demonstration of CPR. Dr. Al-Saudi explained the correct steps for performing CPR, including applying 30 chest compressions using both hands after ensuring the scene is safe, continuing until the victim’s pulse returns.

The participants expressed their gratitude for the workshop, noting the valuable, life-saving skills they had acquired, which would be beneficial in daily life. They also appreciated the practical exercises, which allowed them to apply the knowledge they gained using the tools and models provided.
