The Clinical Research Center at An-Najah National University Hospital has made significant strides in clinical medical research, enhancing healthcare and fostering medical innovation in Palestine. This progress places Palestine prominently on the international scientific research map.


As the first center of its kind in Palestine, the Clinical Research Center is also the first Palestinian academic medical research center accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI). This accreditation reflects its unwavering commitment to the highest standards of quality and excellence in healthcare and scientific research. The center is staffed by a team of experts and specialists who offer free research consultations, conduct workshops, and provide training courses to enhance research skills and achieve the best scientific outcomes. It is distinguished by its support for numerous research projects aimed at raising knowledge and health awareness.

An-Najah National University Hospital excels in research output across a wide array of disciplines, including medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, interdisciplinary sciences, biological sciences, environmental sciences, social sciences, nursing, neuroscience, chemical engineering, health professions, immunology and microbiology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and computer science. This excellence underscores the hospital's commitment to producing high-quality research that advances scientific knowledge and improves healthcare. To date, the hospital has published 350 papers in prestigious international journals with high impact factors, reflecting a notable increase in publications in recent years.

Prof. Sa'ed Zyoud, Director of the Clinical Research Center, remarked, “We are immensely proud of the progress we have achieved in clinical research. Our goal is to conduct research that not only improves healthcare quality but also offers innovative solutions to the health challenges facing our society.” Prof. Zyoud highlighted the crucial support from the hospital’s Board of Trustees, represented by Prof. Rami Hamdallah, whose leadership is vital in steering research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare in Palestine. He also underscored the center’s commitment to continuous innovation and research that elevates healthcare standards in Palestine. Moreover, the center seeks to build collaborations with international research institutions to exchange expertise and knowledge, thereby strengthening Palestine’s presence in global scientific research. The center is also at the forefront of exploring advancements in artificial intelligence and its medical applications, as well as adopting 3D printing technologies in medicine, which opens new horizons in treatment and diagnosis.
