
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, An-Najah National University’s Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a dialogue session between the university administration and medical students, aligning with the university’s goals for quality education, partnerships, and gender equality.
The session, held at the H.R.H. Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Theater, included: Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, President of the university; Dr. Nidal Dwaikat, Vice President for Planning, Development, and Quality; Dr. Faris Abu Shamma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Majdi Dwikat, Assistant Vice President for Medical Specialties; Dr. Eyad Ali, Coordinator of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Medicine; and Dr. Mohammad Qadi, Director of the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Attendees also included: Dr. Maen Ishtaiwi, Assistant Vice President for Scientific Specialties; Mr. Mohammad Daqqah, Dean of Student Affairs; Mr. Ahmad Alsarghali, Presidential Advisor for Public Relations; faculty, and students.
The event featured two sessions: an opening session, moderated by Mohammad Al-Atrash, and a discussion session led by Dr. Ali, where students addressed topics like scholarships, external training, scientific research, and academic follow-ups.
Prof. Zaid emphasized the importance of communication with students to understand their needs and aspirations, highlighting the university’s international partnerships and support for research and scholarships. Dr. Abu Shammah focused on the faculty’s efforts to enhance scientific research and international training opportunities, as well as students’ roles in community service. Dr. Ali discussed the Deanship’s role in supporting students through various activities, particularly in the medical field. Mr. Daqqah emphasized the role of student associations in fostering creativity and achieving success locally and internationally.
This session reflects the University’s commitment to academic development and empowering students to contribute to societal change.
