An-Najah National University proudly celebrates Iyad Asaleh, a senior medical student, who recently made a significant impact at the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva. Representing not just our university but also an entire generation of resilient Palestinian change-makers, Iyad delivered a powerful address at a high-level health dialogue. This prestigious session, supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA), and UNRWA, featured prominent leaders, including the Palestinian Minister of Health, Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan, and The Lancet's Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Richard Horton.

Iyad passionately highlighted the crucial role of youth in advancing public health, medical education, and emergency response, especially amidst fragile health systems and ongoing crises. His impactful advocacy for health equity and mental health on the international stage truly embodies our university's commitment to nurturing globally minded young leaders.
