Dr. Tala Nazzal from the Audiology and Speech Sciences program at An-Najah National University has published a scientific research paper derived from her doctoral thesis on early language acquisition among Palestinian children using eye-tracking. The paper, titled ‘Early Knowledge of Word Order in Palestinian Arabic: An Eye-Tracking Study,’ was conducted in collaboration with the Acquisition & Pathology Lab research group in Barcelona. This research is the first of its kind among Arabic speakers and in the Arab world.


The study was published in the prestigious Language Acquisition journal, which has an impact factor of 1.5 and is published by the global publisher Taylor & Francis. It ranks in the top quartile (Q1) globally.

This achievement underscores An-Najah’s commitment to advancing scientific research and supporting its researchers on the global academic stage, further enhancing its position as a leading institution in research and higher education at both regional and international levels.
