In a remarkable academic achievement, Raghad Dweikat, a scholar from An-Najah National University currently pursuing her studies at The National University of Malaysia (UKM) in the Department of Audiology and Speech Sciences, earned the Second Best Presentation Award at the 14th Allied Health Scentific Conference 2025, held in Malaysia.
Raghad presented the findings of her master’s research, which focuses on vocal health among university teaching faculty in Palestinian institutions, serving as a foundation for developing an evidence-based instructional module designed to educate and train academic staff on strategies to maintain and enhance vocal well-being in the workplace.
Her study, titled “An Evidence-Based Instructional Module for Vocal Health Education, Training, and Workplace Promotion Among Teaching Faculty in Palestinian Universities,” highlights the need to promote voice care awareness among educators and integrate preventive approaches into academic environments.
The biennial conference, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health Malaysia – Allied Health Sciences Division, is organized by the Allied Health Sciences Union, and brings together distinguished academics, researchers, and healthcare practitioners from universities and health sectors worldwide.
Expressing her gratitude, Raghad Dweikat extended sincere thanks to both The National University of Malaysia (UKM) and An-Najah National University for their continuous support and for providing her the opportunity to pursue her research journey. She emphasized that this achievement has significantly fueled her academic aspirations and expressed hope that her findings would make a meaningful contribution to advancing knowledge in vocal health and speech and hearing sciences.
