The MD Alumni Club was invited to participate in a panel discussion organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences at An-Najah National University, coinciding with the launch of the first issue of the Najah MedPulse magazine, held on February 15, 2026. The event included a panel discussion with the President of the Palestinian Medical Association, Dr. Salah Al-Hashlamoun, along with university leadership and faculty members. Students and graduates attended the session to discuss key topics and to raise questions and concerns related to medical education and professional development.


The MD Alumni Club was represented by Dr. Razan Haj, Head of the Executive Committees, who delivered a speech highlighting the importance of strengthening communication between alumni and the university. She emphasized the importance of supporting the academic and professional journeys of medical graduates and presented the Club’s vision, goals, and future initiatives the club aims to achieve.

The event included an open discussion session with distinguished participants, including the President of An-Najah National University, Professor Dr. Abdel Naser Zaid; the President of the Palestinian Medical Association, Dr. Salah Al-Hashlamoun; the Head of the Nablus Branch of the Medical Association, Dr. Jawad Hasson; the CEO of An-Najah National University Hospital, Dr. Iyad Maqbool; and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Faris Abu Shamma. This dialogue served as an important platform for discussing the challenges and aspirations of medical students and graduates.

During the discussion, the MD Alumni Club emphasized the need for future collaboration with the Palestinian Medical Association to address challenges faced by alumni, including internship-related issues and employment opportunities and the need for future initiatives to support career development of new graduates.

The event was attended by the following MD Alumni Club committee chairs: Dr. Razan Haj (Head of the Executive Committees), Dr. Nidal Mtawea (Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Committee), Dr. Hamza Akram (Chair of the Medical Education Committee), Dr. Sima Gharabah (Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee), Dr. Mohammed Abed (Chair of the Research Committee), and Dr. Sara Ismail (Chair of the Graduate Affairs and Engagement Committee).

Overall, the panel discussion contributed to strengthening institutional collaboration, increasing awareness of graduates’ challenges, and reinforcing the MD Alumni Club’s role in supporting graduates’ academic and professional pathways.
