The MD Alumni Club participated in the Research Summit held on February 16, 2026. The club received an invitation from the Palestinian Medical Students’ Association (PMSA) to host an introductory booth and to participate in the evaluation committee.
In preparation for the Research Summit, each committee chair prepared a poster outlining their committee’s vision, objectives, and future plans. The committee chairs involved in the preparation of the posters included: Dr. Nidal Mtawea - Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Committee, Dr. Hamza Akram - Chair of the Medical Education Committee, Dr. Sima Gharabah - Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee, Dr. Mohammed Abed - Chair of the Research Committee, Dr. Sara Ismail - Chair of the Graduate Affairs and Engagement Committee.
During the Research Summit, Dr. Nidal Mtawea, Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Committee represented the MD Alumni Club at the introductory booth, which aimed to introduce students and graduates to the club’s vision, goals, committees, and future activities. The booth served as a platform to promote alumni engagement and provide information about upcoming opportunities. Additionally, the booth included membership registration for graduates and sixth-year medical students who are expected to graduate soon.
During the Research Summit, students and graduates presented their research projects through poster presentations. Dr. Razan Haj, Head of the Executive Committees, participated as a member of the evaluation committee, where she assessed the presented projects and provided valuable scientific feedback to the participants.
The MD Alumni Club’s participation in the PMSA Research Summit achieved its objectives by expanding membership outreach and increasing awareness of the club’s vision and goals. Additionally, the event strengthened the Club’s academic presence and fostered collaboration between alumni and medical students.
