Addressing the ongoing process of learning and growth, particularly in the disciplines of health and medical education, is one of the objectives of the staff development and appraisal unit of the department of medical education. The department is dedicated to improving the skills of its faculty members.
Based on a needs assessment and feedback from our colleagues at the faculty and hospital from different specialties, an artificial intelligence, and ChatGPT workshop was conducted and presented by Mr. Baraa Jayousi.
The Workshop has been organized in collaboration with the Center of Excellence (CELT), directed by Dr. Mohamed Sabah, who kindly helped in the organization and holding the training.
Objectives of the training
Provide an introduction to chatGPT, examples of its academic applications, and hands-on experience with prompt engineering.
The first session began at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, and lasted an hour and a half. The second session, which also lasted an hour and a half, was held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 12 p.m.
All sessions were implemented through a presentation and active participation through small group work and interactive discussions.
