The Physiology Laboratory is one of the newest research and teaching facilities in the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences at An-Najah National University. Established in 2025, the laboratory aims to provide an integrated scientific environment combining laboratory experimentation, practical teaching, and applied research by studying the functions of the heart, lungs, and muscles at both cellular and systemic levels.
The Physiology Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences, An-Najah National University, is a research center focused on experimental studies in cardiac, pulmonary, and muscle physiology. The laboratory seeks to build a bridge between basic sciences and clinical applications by developing high-quality research, fostering collaboration among different faculties, and training medical, health sciences, and pharmacy students in research and scientific analysis skills. Our vision is for the laboratory to become a distinguished national and regional center for studying organ physiology and vital functions, contributing to improved diagnosis and treatment in Palestine.

The laboratory works closely with the Faculties of Science and Pharmacy to develop multidisciplinary research, including:
1. Designing and testing new drug compounds and studying their physiological effects.
2. Training undergraduate and graduate students in experimental research methodologies.
3. Implementing jointly funded local and international projects in pharmacophysiology and systems biology.
The Physiology Laboratory offers exceptional opportunities for medical and health sciences students a valuable chance to learn essential skills for assessing physiological changes resulting from certain pathological conditions and how drugs may act to treat these conditions.
