Dr. Ashraf Hijjawi spoke about his experience in the clinical training and said: I had the honor of completing a clinical rotation at Larkin Community Teaching Hospital in Miami, Florida. This opportunity was generously provided through the support of the Ramallah Foundation and An-Najah National University, for which I am deeply grateful.
During this rotation, I worked alongside my colleague, Dr. Adnan Mousa, with the Internal Medicine residents under the supervision of attending physicians. Our daily responsibilities included arriving early to participate in patient care activities, preparing case presentations, and presenting them to the attending physicians during morning rounds.
In addition to clinical duties, we attended morning reports and didactic teaching sessions, where we actively engaged in discussions and case analyses. Furthermore, we were given the privilege to prepare and deliver formal presentations to the faculty, which significantly contributed to the enhancement of our academic skills, clinical reasoning, and professional development.
This experience has been invaluable in broadening my medical knowledge, refining my clinical and communication skills, and strengthening my ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. I extend my sincere appreciation to Larkin Community Teaching Hospital, the Ramallah Foundation, and An-Najah National University for providing me with this unique and enriching opportunity.
