“From research to health care: Your pharmacist is at your service” is the theme of this year’s World Pharmacists Day. This theme was chosen to reflect the numerous contributions the pharmacy profession makes to health.

The event was attended by Dr. Murad Abualhassan, Associate Professor in pharmaceutical chemistry at the University’s Department of Pharmacy and Activities Supervisor at the Department of Pharmacy, Mr. Bashir Zamel from the Deanship of Student Affairs, Student Amal Sununu, President of PDSA, and a number of interested university students.

The health awareness day included many booths through which an overview of Pharmacy Doctor Program, COVID-19 vaccine, and PDSA's activities were introduced to the visitors. Additionally, the event included booths to check the visitors' blood type, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels.

It is worth mentioning that the purpose of the annual Pharmacists Day is to encourage activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world.
