To mark World Hearing Day celebrated on 3 March each year, the Department of Speech Pathology’s students, in cooperation with the Business Innovation & Technology Hub (NGate) at An Najah National University, organized an awareness day titled “Hear Better, Live Better” under the supervision of Dr. Samar Khalid on Thursday, Mar. 3, 2022.


The awareness day aimed to raise awareness on the importance of early identification and intervention for hearing loss, and how to prevent hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care around the world.

The event was attended by Dr. Majdi Dwikat, Vice President Assistant for Academic Affairs/ Scientific Faculties, Dr. Malik Alqub, Director of Applied and Allied Medical Sciences Department, and Dr. Samar Khaldi, Head of the Speech Pathology Department as well ‎as a number of the University’s academic and administrative staff and interested students.

The event encompassed a host of exciting activities to improve people’s understanding of hearing loss. With the assistance of the Department of Speech Pathology’s teaching staff, the students offered free hearing screenings for the attendees.
