The Faculty of Pharmacy and the Deanship of Student Affairs at An-Najah National University successfully concluded the BEYOND BEAUTY seminar series, organized by the International Pharmacy Students’ Federation. Held on February 11-12, 2025, the seminars targeted students in the fields of cosmetic science, pharmacy, and Doctor of Pharmacy programs. This initiative aligns with the University’s commitment to advancing sustainable development goals, particularly in fostering strategic partnerships, enhancing quality education, promoting sustainable communities, and ensuring gender equality


The event took place in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences auditorium under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs. Distinguished attendees included Dr. Naser Shraim, Supervisor of the Pharmacy Students’ Federation; Mr. Eyad Aqraa, Director of Student Affairs; Ms. Anan Naser, Coordinator of Student Associations at the Deanship of Student Affairs; and Ms. Mufeeda Afifi, President of the International Pharmacy Students' Federation. The event also welcomed members of the federation’s executive board, expert speakers, industry specialists, representatives of sponsoring companies, and a large number of students.

In his remarks, Dr. Shraim underscored the significance of student-led initiatives in enhancing academic and professional competencies. He commended the Deanship of Student Affairs for its ongoing support and expressed appreciation for the Palestinian companies that sponsored the event, many of which are represented by University alumni. He also acknowledged the contributions of the lecturers and specialists for enriching students’ knowledge and practical understanding of the cosmetics industry.

Mr. Aqraa praised the International Pharmacy Students' Federation at An-Najah University for its dedication to organizing impactful activities that contribute to students' professional development. He emphasized the University’s commitment to supporting such initiatives and highlighted the vital role of industry partnerships in equipping students with the expertise required for the job market.

Ms. Afifi noted that the seminars provided valuable insights into cosmetics, skincare, and hair care, with active participation from leading companies in the field.

Student Sahar Qinnah, Secretary of the International Pharmacy Students' Federation, elaborated on the seminar’s diverse sessions and lectures delivered by specialists, academics, and industry representatives. Key topics included acne treatment, exfoliation techniques, the classification and significance of sunscreens and moisturizers, the regulatory process for cosmetic product registration with the Ministry of Health, and an in-depth discussion on shampoos and common hair and skin concerns.

The event concluded with sponsoring companies presenting students with gifts, including product samples from Jaber Drug Store, BIONATURAL, PUREST Company and its agent Nofal, Pharmacon Pharmaceuticals, and My Life LTD.

This seminar series exemplifies An-Najah National University’s dedication to fostering academic excellence, industry collaboration, and student engagement in emerging fields of study.
