An-Najah National University takes pride in announcing that its esteemed faculty member, Professor Mahmoud Matar, has been awarded the title of full Professor in Nephrology and Urology by the Turkish Higher education. The recognition is a testament to Prof. Matar’s distinguished academic and professional accomplishments.


Prof. Matar has been serving as a faculty member in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at An-Najah National University since 2011. He is also the founder of the Department of Nephrology and Urology at An-Najah National University Hospital, which is one of the most distinguished and successful departments at the national and regional levels.

Prof. Matar has over twenty years of experience in Turkey, Egypt, and the United States of America, working in various prestigious universities and academic hospitals. He has also received numerous accolades and research grants, including a visiting scientist degree from the Urology Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas, Houston, Texas-USA, affiliated with the Turkish Association of Urology (2011), and a scholarship for Urology and Nephrology Center, Mansoura University in Egypt.

Prof. Matar is a renowned expert in Nephrology and Urology, with over 200 scientific studies and many surgical innovations to his credit. He has received several international awards, including the Ghoneim Award for Surgical Innovation at the Arab world level.
