As part of An-Najah National University's commitment to expanding international academic and research collaboration, Professor Bilal Rahhal, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Agricultural Engineering, paid a scientific visit to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cologne, Germany, one of Europe's leading academic and research institutions. The visit aimed to strengthen research cooperation and broaden the scope of academic partnership between the two universities.
During the visit, Professor Rahhal participated in a range of scientific and research activities within the University's Neuroscience and Physiology laboratories. He explored the latest technologies and methodologies used in advanced biomedical research and held discussions with researchers and faculty members on opportunities to develop joint research projects that contribute to producing impactful scientific knowledge with global relevance.
Professor Rahhal was accompanied by two third-year students from An-Najah National University's Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program, who took part in this distinguished academic and research experience. The visit provided them with the opportunity to engage in an advanced international research environment and gain first-hand exposure to state-of-the-art laboratory practices and technologies in the medical sciences, enriching their research skills and supporting their academic development.
The visit was conducted within the framework of the Erasmus+ partnership between An-Najah National University and the University of Cologne. The project aims to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation, expand academic mobility programs, and provide high-quality research and training opportunities for students and faculty members, while promoting the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and intercultural experience between the two institutions.
