A delegation from An-Najah National University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences visited the University of Jordan to explore avenues for academic and research collaboration. The delegation, led by Dr. Faris Abu Shamma, Dean of the Faculty, included Dr. Mohammad Al-Qadi, Director of the Biomedical Sciences and Core Clinical Skills Department, and Dr. Abdalkareem Barqawi, Head of the General Surgery Department.


The University of Jordan’s President, Dr. Nazeer Obaidat, along with Dr. Ashraf Abu Karki, Vice President for Scientific Colleges Affairs, and Dr. Samih Al-Zubaidi, Director of the International Affairs Unit, warmly welcomed the delegation. Both parties discussed potential collaborations in clinical training, advanced specialty programs, and opportunities for An-Najah students to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in diverse fields, including medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, rehabilitation sciences, and public health.

An-Najah’s delegation expressed their admiration for the University of Jordan’s ongoing advancements in research and its rise in global academic rankings, recognizing the institution as a significant leader in the region.

This visit underscores the commitment of both universities to fostering academic excellence and expanding educational and professional opportunities for their students and faculty.
