An-Najah National University proudly announces the exceptional achievement of Abrar Al-Jamal, a distinguished graduate of the Doctor of Pharmacy program (Pharm.D.). Following her graduation, Abrar has been appointed as a Doctor of Pharmacy with a second title (specialization) in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rabin Medical Center, the largest medical center in the 1948 Lands. What sets this achievement apart is that Abrar accomplished this distinction without the need for a job exam for the second title—a rarity in Palestine where additional exams are typically required.

President Abdel Nasser Zaid commended Abrar's accomplishment, acknowledging the significance it adds to the university's impressive series of achievements. He expressed congratulations to Abrar, emphasizing that An-Najah University is committed to ensuring excellence and safeguarding the academic and professional rights of its students, recognizing them as the foundation of the path of science and development.

Professor Saed Zyoud, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Coordinator of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program, extended his congratulations to Abrar, highlighting the confidence instilled over the years in all health sciences programs at the Licensing Department in the 1948 Lands. He expressed appreciation for the remarkable examination results of An-Najah University graduates and their exemplary professional performance across various specializations.

In her expression of gratitude, Abrar thanked the administration of An-Najah National University for the provided facilities and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, particularly the Department of Pharmacy led by Professor Saed Zyoud. She acknowledged the contribution of Dr. Amani Abu Shanab and Dr. Samah Al-Jabi from the department. Abrar attributed her success to the precise study plan at the university, the teaching and clinical training methods employed in the department, and the presence of a distinguished educational staff.

Professor Zyoud emphasized the growing demand for Doctor of Pharmacy graduates, locally and globally, citing reasons such as the increasing number and complexity of medications on the market. He noted that pharmacists are now integral to ongoing medication consultations, especially with the rise in the number of elderly individuals with chronic diseases. He highlighted the evolving role of pharmacists from traditional medication dispensing to comprehensive pharmaceutical care, suggesting the need for specialized residency programs in the future, akin to medical specialties.

Regarding the Doctor of Pharmacy program at An-Najah University, Professor Zyoud affirmed that it stands as a contemporary and modern program within the university's vision of achieving comprehensive renaissance, particularly in the health sector. The program aims to enhance health and treatment services for citizens.
