
An-Najah National University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, inaugurated the "Orchid and Butterfly" Exhibition on Sunday, February 19, 2023. The exhibition showcases the diversity and beauty of orchids and butterflies in Palestine as documented by Dr. Walid Pasha, Staff Member of the University's Faculty of Medicine. The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Rami Hamdallah, Vice-Chairman of An-Najah University's Board of Trustees, and Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, University’s President. It was held over two days, from February 19 to 20, 2023.
The exhibition was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including University officials, academic and administrative staff members, students, and representatives from various governmental and non-governmental organizations.
It aimed to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the natural environment and the biodiversity in Palestine. It provided visitors with the opportunity to be captivated by the stunning images of the region's natural beauty captured through Dr. Pasha's lens, observe a wide range of orchids and butterflies, learn about their characteristics, and explore their role in the ecosystem.
Prof. Rami Hamdallah, expressed his gratitude to all the participants who contributed to the success of the exhibition. He also stressed the University's commitment to promoting environmental awareness and biodiversity conservation.
