At An-Najah National University, several medical support recourses are available at various locations inside the University and through An-Najah National University Hospital. If you need any medical support, please explore this page.

The University Medical Clinic was established in 1981 to provide medical services to employees and students at the university, in addition to emergency cases that require transporting the patient to An-Najah National University Hospital.

Clinics doctors are family medicine specialists and this contributes to regulating the operation of clinics significantly. The clinic also employs a qualified nurse.

The clinic receives about 10,000 students annually and serves students free of charge.

These Clinics Provide:

  • Primary and emergency health care for students and employees.
  • The clinic also provides psychological consultations for students and issues medical reports for students and workers. The clinic also disseminates information about health awareness.
  • Some emergency cases that require services not available in the clinic are directed to Hospital (Especially to An-Najah National University Hospital).

There are two clinics available at the university, the Old Campus and the New Campus clinics.

The clinic was opened on World Health Day and the Launching of Vision 2020: ‎The ‎Right to Sight Campaign.

  • the clinic provides service to university students, staff and members of ‎the ‎public.
  • It provides a specialized diagnostic and treatment service and a comprehensive eye ‎examination ‎, including carefully discussing history and symptoms, vision measurement, and visual requirements assessment.
  • It is available for patients with urgent problems - ‎including broken ‎spectacles, red or sore eyes, or patients experiencing a sudden loss of vision.‎

Audiology Clinics

  • There are 4 audiology clinics belonging to Audiology and Speech Sciences Division. The clinics are distributed in different locations in An-Najah National University to provide the services for the university student and staff and the community around.
  • Their location was chosen carefully in a quiet area in the university so there is a very little ambient noise.
  • One of the clinics was established in 2016 for the aim of training the students of the Audiology and Speech Sciences Program in audiology clinical practicum, audiological evaluation and hearing aids courses. Located in the Art Faculty, third floor, room 223120.
  • The clinic is fully equipped with high standards audiology equipment which includes: Otoscope, Tuning fork, Diagnostic Pure tone Audiometer (PTA) settled with a standard built in auditory cabinet, Tympanometry.
  • In addition to that the clinic serves as a hearing aid lab for teaching students of how to perform ear impression and hearing aids selection and fitting process under the supervision of Ms. Salma Anabtawi (MSc Audiology /University of Southampton [email protected]).
  • In 2020 Otoacoustic Emission OAE and Auditory Brainstem Response equipment were added to the clinic
  • In 2021 the other three clinics were established in An-Najah medical complex, near Korean Institute. They are also equipped with a very high tech and new audiology equipment which includes in addition to what mentioned earlier: Video otoscope, Aurical; hearing testing and wireless binaural hearing aids fitting using real ear measurements and non-tonal signal, Screening Pure Tone Audiometry for research purposes and Ear syringing trainer.
  • This clinic provides audiological assessment and diagnostic services for An- Najah National University Students and employees and for people of the local and national community who need those services.
  • Many children also referred from the Speech and Language clinic in An-Najah University for the audiological assessment as a primary step in speech and language assessment.

Speech and Language Clinics

  • There are 3 speech and language clinics belonging to Audiology and Speech Sciences Division to provide the services for the university student and the community. They are located in the university campus near the University Library.
  • The clinics were established for the aim of training the students of the Audiology and Speech Sciences Program in the speech and language practical and clinical modules.
  • The clinics are designed according to the latest technology to achieve the aim of student training and providing rehabilitation services. Each clinic is divided to treatment room and observation room separated by one way mirror window. In addition to a sound system between the two rooms for academic and training purposes.
  • The clinics are fully equipped with assessment, diagnostic and treatment tools, materials, toys which suit all speech and language disorders and for all age groups.
  • Standardized tests like PLS5, SSI, and Aphasia box are available in the clinics for student training purposes.
  • The clinical services are provided by a qualified speech and language pathologist who are experienced to work with different patients who are diagnosed with: language disorders, mental and cognitive disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Speech disorders, Swallowing disorders, Neurogenic communication disorders.

Voice Clinic

  • The Voice clinic is an extension for the Speech and language clinic that related to the Audiology and Speech Sciences Division. Located in the new campus of An-Najah National University, near the university library
  • It is fully equipped with high standards voice lab which aims to evaluate, diagnose and treat individuals with voice disorders at any age.
  • The computerized speech lab contains Dr. Speech, Dr Speech/ Nasal View (Nasometer), Spirometer, Visipitch, DAF
  • Besides, it provides training for the students of Audiology and Speech Sciences Division in the clinical practicum courses under the supervision of the courses academic Dr. Hala Jarrar speech therapist (PhD / University of Minho - [email protected]) and Ms Razan Dhaidel( Speech language therapist- [email protected]).
  • The services provided by the voice clinic are available for the university student and staff and the people in the community around.

Please call the new campus doctor to follow up on sick cases outside the clinic in the case of complete loss of consciousness or fractures resulting from falling from a height, with the need to determine the location of the injury.
