An-Najah National University's Department of Speech Pathology students organized an awareness day on Monday, March 6, 2023, to mark World Hearing Day celebrated annually on March 3. The event took place at the Faculty of Law Auditorium in the University’s New Campus under the supervision of Dr. Samar Al-Khalidi, Head of the Speech Pathology Department.


The goal was to raise awareness about the importance of hearing health and promote hearing care practices among the local community. The event was attended by the University’s officials, faculty members, students, and members of the local community interested in hearing health.

The awareness day featured a range of activities, including informative sessions on the importance of early identification and intervention for hearing loss, and interactive exhibits. It also featured a number of guest speakers who discussed various aspects of hearing health and care.

It is noteworthy that An-Najah offers the Speech Pathology BA program in line with the Palestinian national plan to provide unique and exceptional programs that meet the needs of Palestinian society. This program aims to equip relevant sectors and institutions with highly qualified professionals to address society's requirements and support its progress in the hearing and speech field.

The University remains committed to promoting health and well-being among its students and the local community, and it will continue to organize events and activities aimed at raising awareness about important health issues.
