An-Najah National University is delighted to announce that Yaqeen Shqairat, a distinguished student, has been awarded a scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Human and Applied Physiology at King's College London. This scholarship is part of the Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL) program, facilitated through the joint cooperation between the Bseisu Foundation, a partner of HESPAL, and An-Najah National University.


Yaqeen Shqairat, a native of Jenin, Palestine, completed her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at An-Najah National University with honors in 2021. During her undergraduate studies, Yaqeen demonstrated exceptional dedication to public health through active involvement in voluntary and extracurricular activities.

Her passion for human health and well-being, coupled with a desire to deepen her understanding of human physiology, has led Yaqeen to pursue a master’s degree at King's College London, a renowned research institution. Through this postgraduate program, Yaqeen aims to enrich her knowledge of physiological mechanisms underlying health and disease, particularly in the context of medication targeting sites.

Yaqeen chose King's College London for its outstanding academic and research reputation, as well as its unique teaching methodology. Her year in London not only provides a valuable academic experience but also exposes her to diverse cultures and historical sites, enriching her personal and academic journey.

Upon completion of her master’s degree, Yaqeen plans to return to Palestine and contribute to academia as a university lecturer in Human Physiology. Her commitment to imparting knowledge and inspiring future generations aligns with her dedication to continuous learning and research in the field.

The Higher Education Scholarship Program for Palestinians (HESPAL) aims to foster the development of the next generation of academics, maintaining international quality standards in Palestinian universities and establishing sustainable relationships between Palestinian and British universities.
