She also attended the Academy meeting which were co-hosted by the ‎World Council of Optometry (WCO) and the American Academy of ‎Optometry (Academy) in Orlando, Florida over the period of October 23-‎‎27, 2019.‎

Dr. Beshtawi was the only Palestinian woman to participate in the ‎event ‎which included lectures and workshops, and several social events ‎featuring international optometry.‎

Dr. Beshtawi gave a presentation on contact lenses, and presented two ‎‎research papers conducted by An-Najah's Optometry Department. She also ‎met with optometrists from different international universities to discuss ‎possible means of mutual cooperation with An-Najah.‎
