On Sunday, February 26, 2023, the Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (PSF) at An-Najah National University, organized the fifth Pharmaceutical Internship Conference at the Faculty of Law Auditorium in the University’s New Campus.


The conference was held under the supervision of the University's Deanship of Student Affairs and attracted a large number of pharmacy students from various Palestinian universities.

It aimed at enriching students' experiences and knowledge in various types of medications and their uses, and raising their efficiency in training, particularly those who are about to graduate, by integrating them with companies operating in the field to create future job opportunities.

Furthermore, the aim of the conference was to shed light on the aspirations of Palestinian pharmacists and provide them with a platform to learn from experts in the field. It included several informative sessions and interactive discussions that covered various topics related to the pharmaceutical industry.

Distinguished guests and speakers included Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, University President, Dr. Ayman Khammash, Head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Khalil Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Nidal Jaradat, Director of the Pharmacy Department, Dr. Shatha Hanoun, Pharmacist Training Officer, Mr. Iyad Al-Aqraa', Director of Students' Affairs, Miss. Yamama Dawood, Acting Director of the Public Relations Department, and a number of the Faculty of Medicine’s academic and administrative staff.

The conference also featured a range of activities, including exhibitions and seminars that focused on pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry, led by students.

Additionally, a room was set up to provide pharmacy students and graduates an opportunity to meet with companies and explore job opportunities in the diverse fields of pharmacy.

This initiative provided a valuable platform for bridging the gap between academia and industry, enabling students to gain real-world experience and industry insights, and paving the way for future employment opportunities.

The conference was sponsored by medical and pharmaceutical companies that supported the event and contributed to its success. The organizers expressed their appreciation to all the supporters and participants and pledged to continue organizing similar conferences in the future to promote the development of pharmacy in Palestine.
