Medical Imaging Laboratory at An-Najah National University is where cutting-edge technology meets top-tier education.
Our lab is designed to provide students and researchers with hands-on experience in medical imaging, utilizing advanced equipment, including X-ray, ultrasound systems, quality control devices, and phantoms.
- The X-ray section has modern digital radiography units, allowing for high-resolution imaging of the body's internal structures. This technology is essential for diagnosing various medical conditions, from fractures to chest abnormalities. It also helps students gain practical image acquisition and interpretation skills, preparing them to be competent professionals in the field.
- In the ultrasound section, students use real-time imaging technology to visualize soft tissues, blood flow, and internal organs. Our lab offers high-quality ultrasound machines that facilitate learning sonographic techniques in diverse clinical settings, such as abdominal, obstetric, and vascular imaging.
- To ensure the accuracy and safety of all imaging procedures, the lab includes quality control devices that monitor and maintain the performance of imaging equipment. These devices play a crucial role in guaranteeing that the highest standards of image quality and patient safety are met while also providing students with valuable insights into the principles of quality assurance in medical imaging.
- The lab has X-ray and ultrasound phantoms to enhance learning. These training tools simulate human anatomy and allow students to practice imaging techniques in a controlled environment. Using phantoms, students can improve their skills in acquiring and interpreting images without risk to actual patients, making them better prepared for clinical scenarios.

The CT and MRI simulation Lab offers an ideal environment for training in cutting-edge medical imaging techniques, enabling students to gain hands-on skills in diagnosis and treatment.
- In the MRI simulation section, students learn to perform various imaging protocols, adjust scanning parameters, and interpret scan results. The simulation provides a lifelike experience by simulating the behavior of soft tissues, internal organs, and different body parts under magnetic resonance imaging, helping students understand the principles of MRI technology and develop confidence in their diagnostic skills.
- The CT simulation section offers comprehensive training on computed tomography techniques, including patient positioning, parameter selection, and 3D image reconstruction. Students can practice scanning procedures and troubleshooting in a risk-free environment, gaining practical insights into CT imaging of bones, blood vessels, and internal organs without radiation exposure.
- The MRI and CT Simulation Lab is an innovative educational platform bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. It empowers students to master the complexities of medical imaging confidently, preparing them to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of radiology and diagnostic imaging.
