The Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation - Najah National University inaugurated the 3rd Pharmaceutical Internship Conference titled: "Pharmaceutical Horizons and Aspirations". The conference was sponsored by PHARMIX Way for Health.


The conference aimed at exchanging experiences between internship students, pharmaceutical companies, professionals and academics, preparing internship students for the future and helping them finding job opportunities. Also, it focused on strengthening communication and leadership skills of internship students and participants and sharing new pharmaceutical knowledge on a national level as well as promoting and supporting the local pharmaceutical and medical-supply and other sponsors industries.

The opening session included speeches by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Khalil Issa, the Head of the Palestinian Pharmacists Association (PPA), Dr. Ayman Khammash, the Director of the Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Abdel Naser Zaid and the conference coordinator Dr. Shatha Hannoun. The event was also attended by a large number of pharmacy students and professors. 

The first day started with a plenary session on Pharmaceutical Laws. It also included three scientific lectures on the truth of toxic substances, Ketogenic diet out of medical view and harmful effect of electronic cigarette.

The first day was concluded with the sponsor lecture and pharmacists honoring ceremony. The first day activities also included an introductory exhibition for participating companies: RIVAGE Natural Dead Sea Minerals, Karma Care Health and Quality, Pharmacare PLC, Masrouji Group, SAMA, Sawa Care, Sun Pharm Drug Store, Dana Pharmaceutical Company, Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company, Floris, New Vision Management Consultancy and Training, MediPal and Beit Jala Pharmaceutical Company.

The exhibition also included scientific posters produced by pharmaceutical internship students.
